Move well.
Stay well.

The approach

More than treating where it hurts

A careful assessment looks beyond the painful area to understand why the problem keeps returning.

Pain rarely originates where it is felt. A shoulder that will not settle may be driven by the way the ribcage moves; a recurring low back problem may sit downstream of an old ankle injury. Assessment therefore begins with the whole person — history, work, training load, previous injuries and the way the body organises movement — rather than with the painful structure alone.

“The site of the pain and the source of the problem are often two different places. The work is in finding the difference.”
Daniel Schwager

Everyday life

Treatment measured by what you get back to

Running, training, long days at a desk, carrying children, cycling across London — the goal is always the return to the things that make up an ordinary week.

Conditions

Where people
usually start

Most people arrive with pain that has not settled on its own. If your problem is not listed, it is still worth a short conversation before booking.

In patients’ words

After years of recurring back pain I finally felt properly assessed. Daniel explained what was happening and why, and the treatment addressed far more than the painful area itself.
